We've been a pickin' at the flea markets and a grinin' at our found booty......
Loads of great vintage finds that we are tearing down and rebuilding into stunning, one of a kind creations such as this exquisite necklace....a mix of sapphire blue and aged pearl.....we've mingled into an art deco/art nouveau hybrid. We think it's gorgeous!
Of course, no creative activity takes place without the persistent interruption of your darned cat. This is mine, Nod.
This weekend is our high schools prom.........
These are the lovely roses purchased by a certain suitor, my nephew, Steven. He and brother Jack are both looking forward to the evening. We are praying for fun and safety for all as our town will be abuzz tonight.
We are sorry to have been posting so randomly as of late but, now that we have the blessed news of Kellys health and this gorgeous spring weather, we will be up and creating in full force. Sipping up coffee and soaking up sunshine in the sunroom , we have our creative juices flowing and we hope yours are too!

Life is Fragile......

and should be treated with respect , dignity ,and love.
Kelly is recovering very well from her surgery. We are waiting to hear the pathology reports. We are eating organic and lots of NutriBullet kale and blueberry smoothies. Treating life with respect means treating our bodies with respect. I have been neglecting mine.
There is no purpose in fretting over what was, simply learn the lesson from it and go on living ...forward.

Keep up your thought and prayers. They are more precious than gold!

BUSY BUZY!

I know we've been a bit short on narrative as of late but, many things are happening here at the Abbey. It is with deeply heartfelt thanks we appreciate all your thoughts and prayers for Kelly. Surgery went well, we will know all reports in about 5 more days. We feel the love ladies and thank you so much for it!

Rockabilly Red~

Same ole story ...too many projects at one time so, I've vowed to finish up this one-of-a-kind bandana red jean jacket.
I'll be adding more trim to the cuffs and some roses to the collar tabs....perhaps some rhinestones.  Any suggestions?
**For those of you kind enough to be keeping Kelly in your prayers, her surgery had been rescheduled for today at 1pm central time. Last week as she was literally being wheeled into the operating room, they cancelled surgery due to her low WBC count caused by chemo. We again ask that you keep her in your thoughts today. We are so very appreciative of your kindness!

 If youre not gardening.....

youre losing touch with the very nature of your world.

I will be putting seeds in dirt this weekend, god willing. Looking forward to some healthy, homegrown organics, warm rays of sun and connecting with the dust form which I was made!

Prayers Please.
I am taking this time to ask any who may stumble upon our wee blog here to please send up a shout to heaven on behalf of my little sister,Kelly (pictured above with her 3 boys).
Kelly was diagnosed last fall with breast cancer, a very unusual type affecting only 1% of all breast cancer patients. She has made it through her chemo,(all that beautiful mane is temporarily gone), and, today faces surgery at Cancer Treatment Centers of America, Zion Illinois ....she will then complete her radiation upon returning home to Ohio.
Kelly is one of the kindest, friendliest, most compassionate people you could ever hope to meet. We are asking just a second of your life to send up a prayer for her that her life may continue, full speed ahead & cancer free forever! If possible, please ask your friends to also pray for Kelly or, share this posts link on your blog. Thank you so very, very much!
